I logged on to dA today for the first time in... I don't know how long. And there was something surreal about seeing that I've been on this platform for fifteen years. That's... An incredibly long time to have any kind of online account. Given how long I've had this account, you'd think I'd be more active on dA, but I just haven't been for several years despite making art consistently throughout this time. I need to change that. Looking at the shit-show that's been 2020 and looking forward to 2021, I definitely see how making use of this platform could be helpful in a self-care sort of way. I think every other platform I use is dedicated to advocacy work and art as activism, but I don't have many places where I can just make art for the sake of making art. Or vent for the sake of venting. And I miss that. So here's to making an effort to update, use, and appreciate my dA account. And here's hoping for better days ahead. For everyone.

It's been so long since I last posted a journal entry in here that I had to first learn how to operate the app! 😅😅😅 But I'm making every effort to use this, my oldest and most favorite, social media account more consistently. Especially now that I'm actually making art more frequently and working in the art industry! Glad to be back and glad to see that most of my favorite deviantArtists are still here and producing amazing work!
