This is my entry for ItDoesNotHaveMe's bimonthly contest-- the focus of this being catharsis and awareness. [link]
It was actually nice to work on this particular project, as it really was a catharsis for me. I doubt I'll have a chance, being up against all the amazing dA artists who enter contests, but it was a nice distraction from the world while I worked on it. I drew the lips while staring at my own in the illuminated makeup mirror, and the text is just letting my mind go free to rant. I really do feel a little better after having made this. Thank you to ItDoesNotHaveMe for the chance to be me. |

i just had a conversation with a friend right before i read your deviation and it's not exactly what he's going through, but it just reminded me of it and made me think more about how he feels in the situation he is, because on the outside he acts like nothing is wrong with him, and he ususally never opens up...today i just got a small glimpse of his feelings...
so basically this helped me also in some way.

I can definitely empathize with your friend. Professionally, I can't afford to go around and be all angry-- so I've had to learn to harness all that negativity into some kind of positive creative force.
I hope your friend can learn to do this as well, as it's truly a helpful skill.
